Euro 2008 begins on the 7th of June, and now you too can feel a part of the action with The Highly Unofficial Football European Cup Fantasy Teams Tournament 2008 (THUFECFTT8). You are given eleven dollas (like dollars, but more fictional) and must buy four teams which you think will score the most points throughout the tournament (3 points for a win, 1 for a draw). Once you've selected your four teams then you're stuck with them for the whole tournament, we couldn't be bothered with people faffing about and changing their minds.
You are also required to order your teams in terms of excitingness. Excitingness is (arbitrarily) measured by the average number of goals in the matches your team plays (for AND against). This will only be used if a tie breaker is required. So if two peoples set of four teams have exactly the same number of points then their nominated most exciting teams will be compared (if these are the same then second most exciting, and so on) to determine which player is ahead.
There will be some *great* prizes for the tournament, but they have not been finalised yet (read as we haven't been to the charity shop yet). The organisers of THUFECFTT8 may not be able to pay for postage if you're living in Australia or something, but we'll probably be ok posting to inside the UK.
